Authorities stated they were alerted by a individual who discovered a car in Hanau marked with reddish liquid

Approximately fifty automobiles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Cars, walls and mailboxes were defaced, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a release.

Law enforcement state they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.

The fluid had been placed in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Officers then found numerous other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement state preliminary tests suggest the liquid was most likely blood from a person.

"At present there remains no clue as to its origin; investigators are not yet informed of any injuries in association with the incident," they stated.

Local authorities announced they were attempting "to solve the incident" and have appealed to the public for information.

An important representative said the vandalism rendered him speechless and needed to be addressed quickly.

"This incident affects the center of Hanau and revives the trauma of the far-right violent incident five years ago," he stated on online, mentioning the death of nine people by a gunman aiming at residents of immigrant origin in 2020.
